A Day in the Life: Rituals of a Global Talent Manager
GRUMETI SERENGETI RIVER LODGE
In entertainment, the pace is relentless — contracts, soundchecks, and time zones dictating each hour. Yet behind every global stage lie rituals that steady power and preserve presence. In this edition of A Day in the Life, an influential global talent manager shares a cadence shaped by constant motion. From mornings anchored in stillness to evenings marked by long walks and fine dining, his days reflect a rhythm that balances the demands of global success with the quiet luxury of intentional living.
Grounding the Day
“The first thing I do each morning is pray. My Catholic upbringing and years in a missionary school taught me the value of beginning the day grounded in faith. Centring myself spiritually sets the tone for everything that follows.”
Non-Negotiable Rituals
“Morning stretching is a non-negotiable for me. It may seem simple, but it's how I stay grounded. Some mornings it's just silence, other times it's unreleased music from artists I work with — but more often than not, I lean into the quiet.”

Inside the Workflow
“The pace of my days rarely allows for normal. My mornings often begin with licensing emails for film and streaming platforms, followed by coordination with our publishing partners in Paris to ensure contracts are precise. Most mornings involve Zoom calls across time zones to finalize agreements, whether for shows, endorsements, or licensing. Beyond that, I check in on the artists I manage — their routines, their presence online, their short- and long-term goals. It's a steady rhythm of management, structure, and alignment across every platform.”
Staying Sharp
“Staying sharp, for me, is about discipline. Fitness is central, and movement keeps my mind clear. I also practice intermittent fasting: no meals before 3 p.m., plenty of water, and a clean, protein-rich diet balanced with fruit and light carbs. Just as important is rest. I make sleep non-negotiable, usually in bed by 9:30 p.m. and up again by 6 a.m. It’s a rhythm that keeps me grounded across time zones and demands.”
Unwinding with Intention
"This often starts with long walks, anywhere from 10,000 to 20,000 steps, to clear my head. At times I’ll switch off with a show, but when I want to indulge, I prefer dining out — Nok by Alara or Wakame in Lagos are favorites.”

Defining Luxury
“For me, luxury is found in time — the space to arrive a little earlier, to really take in a city’s rhythm before the work begins. I always give myself two extra days to explore, whether it’s in Morocco, Rwanda, or Nairobi. Recently, it was the Serengeti, and that experience was unforgettable. That balance between duty and discovery is what I consider true indulgence.”
